Hole in your heart
Hole in your heart is a metaphoric look at depression, fear and anxiety. The title is a continuation of the enigmatic description of personal feelings. The main aim of the project was to produce work showing the “unknown” sides of depression. Mental problems are still very poorly understood by people, which is my big concern. In a way, producing this project was an attempt to come to terms with depression personally, but also invitation for others to gain an understanding. I decided to create symbolic photographs portraying a life of depressed individuals. Some of them are very grim, others are more positive or even humoristic. I didn’t want to focus on negativity, because even life with depression has its ups and downs.
